With nearly 30 years of experience in business management, taxation, public accounting, and campaign financial management, Nick has developed the ability to help individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations attain an unexpected level of success; even when faced with the most complex issues. He is highly regarded by his peers and has earned a reputation for excellent personal service, integrity, and quality work.
After graduating with distinction from the University of New Mexico, Robert O. Anderson School of Business, in 1988, Nick was faced with many employment opportunities. Decidedly, he chose to work for the largest independent CPA firm in New Mexico rather than one of the large multinational accounting firms (also known as the Big 8 at the time). Over time, he and his wife were frequently approached by individuals and business owners for guidance in their business decisions and affairs. Together, they applied their business acumen to form their own business in 1990. J. Nick Leitch & Company has been a successful firm since inception.
Nick is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Mexico Society of CPAs, the Colorado Society of CPAs, and has also volunteered his expertise to benefit the foundation, formation, and implementation of the East Mountain Charter High School, as well as various other nonprofit organizations.
When Nick is not in the office, you might find him fly fishing on a river or spending time with his family and friends.
